
TACA holds monthly meetings in many locations throughout the United States that feature educational speakers on important topics and allow family members to connect with one another and stay on top of the latest information in the autism world. Each TACA group maintains a resource library of the latest autism books and tapes that can be checked out by members at no charge.

Beth Swanson
Raising a child with special needs....maximizing your allowable tax deductions and minimizing your tax liability Beth Swanson is owner and founder of “The Merchants Assistant.” TMA provides development, accounting and tax specialist services to start up and developing businesses and bookkeeping and specialized tax filing services to families and individuals. Consulting has been one of the corner stones of TMA and is what open the doors for the business in 2001. TMA assists private parties by consulting of simple to complex tax issues and preparation of tax filings that are accurate and with the best interests of the clients. Beth helps small businesses develop sound business plans in order to achieve funding to allow them to open the doors and/or expand their operations. “I get great satisfaction in seeing my clients improve their situations.” Beth says. Beth has twenty five years experience in accounting. Her education is from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, and, Madison. She has lived in the Twin Cities area since 1973. She is married for twenty one years and has identical twin boys of special needs. Both boys have graduated from high school and are looking forward to higher education to fit there needs. The boys were both in alternative learning environments throughout their education. Beth home schooled one son in the ninth grade. Beth was an accountant for a manufacturing company for eight years. She was the staff account when the Hotel Lexford was conceived and also developed, owned and managed a employment service for five years. Beth’s interests and hobbies are music and the arts including live theater. She has been involved with several art and craft festivals for some twenty five years. She has experienced all aspects first hand including sales and marketing of art goods, operating her own personnel business, administration of crafts jury and operations and managing a large costume shop. Beth’s professional affiliations are with Professional Women in Business, Life Changes, Pre-Paid Legal and Justice Empowerment Professional Associates, Maeven Group. |
